Removal

1. Remove the ignition coils, refer to Section Removal and installation ignition coils.

2. Disconnect the ventilation hoses from the cylinder head.

3. Disconnect the camshaft position sensor connector.

4. Remove the front engine cover.

5. Disconnect the ground wire at the cylinder head cover.

6. Move the ignition coil electrical wires to the side.

7. Unscrew the 7 mounting bolts (2) and remove the cylinder head cover (1).

Installation

Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. Replace the cylinder head gasket and tighten the bolts alternately to 10 Nm.

Caution: Route the electrical wires in the cylinder head cover and check that the seal between the wires and the cylinder head cover is correctly positioned.
