Removing
1. Mark with paint the position of the front wheel relative to the hub. This will allow the assembly to install the balanced wheel in its original position. Loosen the wheel bolts before jacking up the vehicle. Raise the front of the car, put it on stands and remove the front wheel.
2. Disconnect the wires of the speed sensor and the brake pad wear sensor from the suspension strut.
3. Loosen the nut (3) and disconnect the connecting rod (2) from shock absorber (1).
Attention! Do not damage the dust cap, keep the ball pin from turning with a wrench (4) connecting rod.
4. Turn off 2 bolts of fastening (4) suspension strut (1) to the swing arm and remove the bolts.
5. Loosen the nut (5) and remove the bolt (6).
6 Secure the suspension strut from falling after removing the top mount.
7. Loosen the nut (7) and disconnect the suspension strut at the top from the support (6).
Note. When removing the left suspension strut, first disconnect the washer reservoir and move the attached hoses aside.
8. Remove washer and stop (8) and remove the suspension strut down from the wheel arch.
Attention! Do not damage the brake hose while doing this.
Installation
1. Carefully insert the suspension strut through the wheel arch into the support.
2. Replace stop and washer.
3. Tighten the top nut to 60Nm.
4. Fix an amortization rack to a rotary fist. At the same time, insert the upper bolt so that the head of the bolt, looking in the direction of travel, looks forward.
5. Then tighten the top nut first (5) torque of 200Nm, holding the bolt from turning, and then the lower bolt (4) torque 110Nm, refer to illustration 3.4.
6. Fix the connecting rod to the suspension strut with a new self-locking nut and washer to a torque of 40Nm.
7. Attach the wires of the speed sensor and the brake pad wear sensor to the rack.
8. Reinstall the washer fluid reservoir, if removed, and secure by turning the lock lever.
9. Reinstall the front wheel so that the marks made during removal match. Pre-lubricate with a thin layer of bearing grease the centering belt of the wheel disk on the hub. Do not grease wheel bolts. Replace rusty bolts. Wrap bolts. Lower the car onto the wheels and tighten the bolts crosswise to 110Nm.
10. If the shock absorber was replaced with a new one, measure the geometrical parameters of the running gear.
