1 - Rear wheel drive; 2 - Main gear; 3 - Coil spring; 4 - Shock absorber; 5 - Rear suspension beam; 6 - Torsion bar anti-roll bar; 7 - Rear suspension arm

The rear wheel suspension is designed as a spatial multi-link system and consists of a beam to which the suspension arms are bolted through rubber-metal bearings. There is a stabilizer bar in front of the beam (except for model C180), which reduces the tilt of the body when turning, and also prevents the rear wheel, which is internal to the turn, from lifting.

Two coil springs serve to cushion the body. Gas-filled shock absorbers are located next to the springs. This design takes up little space in the trunk or cargo compartment.
