Note: Unlike the front one, the rear bumper is removed together with the cross member.


Removal



1. Models with a towing hitch: Loosen the nuts on the adjusting pins.

2. Remove 2 expansion clamps (1) and one nut (2) securing the wing liner.

3. Push the wing liner to the side and remove the screw (3) between the bumper and the wing.

4. Remove the 4 lower mounting bolts from the crossmember.


4. Remove the 4 lower mounting bolts from the crossmember.

5. Unscrew the mounting bolt (arrow on the illustration) muffler holder.

6. Disconnect the parking assist connector, if equipped.

7. Open the rear lid. Remove the lid at the bottom of the trunk. Remove the lid above the additional spare wheel compartment.



8. Release the covers on the right and left in the trim, lower them and remove them.

9. Left pocket: Remove the screw (1). Remove the 3 screws (2) and take out the tool box.

10. Right pocket: Remove 2 screws (1) and take out the compartment (2).

11. Left side: Remove 1 bolt (1) and 4 nuts (2, 3, 4) securing the rear bumper. (5) – taillight, (6) – fuse box.



Note: A 16-point socket is required to remove nuts (3) and (4).


12. Right side: Also unscrew the bolt and 4 nuts.

13. With the help of an assistant, pull the bumper and crossbar back out of the guides and remove them.

14. Remove the 4 upper screws from the crossmember and separate the bumper and crossmember.

Installation



1. Secure the bumper to the crossbar with 8 screws at the top and bottom.

2. Insert the bumper and crossbar into the guides with the help of an assistant. Make sure that the driver's side bumper is correctly inserted into the tires under the wing.

3. Further installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
