Examination
Check the gap between the hood and the mating body elements along the perimeter of their fit specified in Specifications.
Adjustment
1. Open the hood and place it vertically.
2. Remove the right and left hood retaining clips as described in Section Removal and installation the hood lock.
3. Loosen the screws securing the hood hinges.
4. Adjust the gap around the hood fit and tighten the screws to 8 Nm.
5. Lower the hood onto the buffer and check the clearance relative to the wing. If necessary, adjust the buffer on the right and left in height (1) so that the hood is not skewed.
6. Install the right and left clamps.
7. Close the hood and check the operation of the locking mechanism by lifting the hood with a jerk upwards. If necessary, slightly shift the position of the hood latch or lock.
8. Check the operation of the locking hook. To do this, release the hood and check the fixation on the lock holder.
