Removal



1. Open the hood and place it vertically.

2. Remove the front spoiler grille, refer to the relevant section.

3. Disconnect the windshield washer nozzle heater connector and remove the hoses from the nozzle as described in Section Removal and installation the windshield washer nozzle.

4. If a solar sensor is installed, disconnect its connector located under the ventilation grille.

5. Disconnect the wires from the holders on the hood.

6. To make subsequent installation of the hood easier, mark the position of its hinges with a felt-tip pen.

Caution! To remove the gas-filled strut, ask an assistant to hold the hood. Otherwise, the hood will fall, because it cannot be held by one strut.

8. Remove the mounting screws (arrows in the illustration) and remove the hood with the help of an assistant. Before unscrewing the hinge mounting screws, place a rag between the hood and the body to protect the paintwork from damage.



9. Place the hood on a secure support.

Installation



1. Place the hood in place with the help of an assistant and secure it with the screws without tightening them.

2. Close the hood and check the gap around the perimeter of the fit, adjust if necessary.

3. Tighten the mounting screws to a torque of 8 Nm.

4. Install one gas-filled strut onto the ball joint and insert the retaining ring. Install the second strut in the same way.
