Removal
1. Open the hood and place it vertically.
2. Remove the right windshield wiper, refer to Section Removal and installation the windshield wiper arm.
3. Remove the cover above the fuse box on the left side in the engine compartment. To do this, turn the plastic screws 1/4 turn and remove the cover from the guide rail.
4. Remove the wires and hoses from the holders on the water collector.
5. Remove the multi-function sensor if installed.
6. Remove 4 mounting bolts from the water collector (arrows in the illustration).
7. Detach the water collector from the windscreen at the sides. If necessary, use a special tool, such as the MERCEDES pull-out hook 140 589 02 33 00, by grasping it under the working edge.
Note: The pull hook can be made by yourself, please refer to Section Removal and installation the instrument panel.
Installation
Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal.
