Removal
1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery cable with the ignition off. The cabin air filter box must be removed first.
Before disconnecting the cable, find out the radio receiver's security code, if any, refer to Section Replacing the battery.
Note: To preserve the data stored in the electronic memory of the instrument cluster, connect a special auxiliary power source to the vehicle in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions before disconnecting the battery.
2. Release the steering wheel, pull it all the way back and press it down. Electric steering wheel adjustment: Set to the same position.

3. Insert into the splines (arrow on the illustration) until the stop on the left and right on the dashboard (2) pull-out hooks (1).
4. Rotate the hooks 90°, press the lock (3) up and release.
Note: The direction of rotation on the right spline is clockwise, on the left spline – counterclockwise.
5. Pull the instrument panel out from the instrument panel using the hooks.
6. Release the plug from the back of the instrument panel and disconnect the connector. Remove the instrument panel.

7. Service stations use special pull-out hooks 140 589 02 33 00 for this purpose. Hooks can also be made independently from wire with a diameter of 2–2.5 mm.

8. Loosen the instrument panel cover and remove it from the body.
9. Remove the electronic board from the case.
Installation
1. Insert the electronic board into the instrument panel housing. Make sure that the trip meter reset button is in the correct position.
2. Place the cover on the body and secure it with the tabs.
3. Connect the instrument panel connector and secure it.
4. Insert the instrument panel into the instrument panel, press evenly and fix it. Do not tilt the instrument panel.
5. Set the steering wheel to its normal position.
6. Connect the battery ground (-) cable with the ignition off. Reinstall the cabin air filter box. If necessary, enter the radio code and set the clock.
