Removal and installation the instrument panel (Mercedes-Benz E-Class W123)

1. Remove the glove box.

2. Remove both trim panels from under the instrument panel.

3. Remove the inner windshield moldings.

4. Remove the screws and unhook the speaker covers, then remove the bolts from the instrument panel.

5. Remove the instrument panel.

6. Remove the light switch button, then unscrew the switch mounting nut.

7. Disconnect the chain handle from the handbrake lever.

8. Disconnect the right and left ventilation hoses.

9. Disconnect the outside air intake flap control handle and outside air supply hoses.

10. Disconnect the glove box light switch wiring.

11. Depending on the equipment, disconnect the speaker wiring.

12. Lift the instrument panel so that the windshield heating nozzles come off the heater box, and then remove the panel completely.

13. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
