Removing the gearshift lever trim from the center console

1. Remove both front floor mats.

2. Remove the outer switches and covers by unscrewing the Phillips head screws.

3. Remove the ashtray and frame, disconnect the wiring connectors.

4. Remove the floor carpet, remove the front gearshift lever trim mounting screws, lift the trim slightly and push the indicator light switch out so that the connector can be disconnected.

5. Remove the gear shift lever trim from the center console.

6. Remove the radio.

7. Remove the heater control buttons and unscrew the nuts.

8. Remove the heater control knob and remove the cover. Disconnect the lighting wire.



9. Remove the screws from the front of the tunnel and the rear bolts from the center console. Also remove the screws from the ashtray.

10. Lift the rear of the center console and remove the console from the instrument panel, supporting the end of the console so that its edges do not separate.

11. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
