Removal
1. Open the rear hatch.
2. Remove the four plugs 1 and unscrew the bolts underneath them (see illustration).
3. Unscrew the two lower bolts 3 (see illustration).

4. Unscrew the rear mudguard mounting bolts and detach them.
5. Unscrew one bolt in each wheel arch 4 (see illustration).
6. Move the bumper back on both sides, working together with an assistant, release it from the side guides 5 and remove it (see illustration 28.5).
The rear bumper is installed in the reverse order of removal. The bumper mounting bolts are tightened with a force of 3 Nm.
