Removal
1. Mark the position of the front wheel on the hub with paint. This will allow you to install the balanced wheel in its original position during assembly.
2. Loosen the wheel mounting bolts. The car must be standing on its wheels when performing this operation.
3. Place the front of the car on stands and, after unscrewing the wheel bolts, remove the wheel.
4. Unscrew bolts 1 and remove the lower trim (see illustration).

5. Unscrew bolts 2, 3, 5, unscrew nuts 4 and 6 and remove expansion clamps 7 (see illustration 30.4).
6. Remove the front part A of the fender liner (see illustration 30.4).
7. Disconnect the ABS/ESP connector 1 located behind the shock absorber strut by moving the wire clip 2 upwards (see illustration).

Installation
The installation of the mudguard is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
9. Install the front wheel in accordance with the marks made during removal. Before doing this, lubricate the seat of the wheel disk on the hub with a thin layer of bearing grease.
Do not lubricate the wheel mounting bolts. Screw in the wheel mounting bolts and lower the vehicle.
Tighten the nuts in a crisscross pattern to 110 Nm.
