Rear bumper installation details on standard models (not AMG) equipment without external spare wheel holder

1.Rear bumper installation details on standard models (not AMG) configurations without an external spare wheel holder are shown in the illustration, to which all references in the text refer.
2. With the appropriate configuration, disconnect the contact connector of the antenna cable of the emergency call system located under the side trim of the right C-pillar at the jacking point (E-call).
3. Prying with a suitable wedge, remove the covers and give the nuts (E) and screws (WITH).
4. If equipped, loosen the nut securing the mud baffle.
5. After filing back, carefully remove the bumper - try not to damage the paintwork.
6. If equipped, remove the emergency call antenna from the right side of the body (E-call).
7. Installation is carried out in the reverse order, make sure that the bumper is properly seated relative to the tailgate and rear combination lamps.
Standard models without external spare wheel holder

2. With the appropriate configuration, disconnect the contact connector of the antenna cable of the emergency call system located under the side trim of the right C-pillar at the jacking point (E-call).
3. Give nuts (A) And (IN) on the bottom of the vehicle behind the cross member of the frame.
4. Turn out bolts of fastening of console arms (D) spare wheel holder.
Note. Bolts secured with nuts (A) can be pushed out from the rear side of the cross beam.
5. Remove the console brackets (D) spare wheel holder (see Section Removal and installation of the external holder of a spare wheel (with appropriate equipment)).
6. Carefully remove the 3 bumper panels - try not to damage the paintwork and clips.
7. At the corresponding complete set give a nut of a back mudguard.
8. Pulling the spare wheel holder all the way back, move back and carefully remove the bumper - try not to damage the paintwork.
9. If equipped, remove the emergency call antenna from the right side of the body (E-call).
10. Installation is carried out in the reverse order, make sure that the bumper is properly seated relative to the tailgate and rear combination lamps.
AMG Equipment Models
Installation details of the rear bumper on AMG equipment models
1. The installation details of the rear bumper on AMG models are shown in Ref. an illustration to which all references in the text refer.
2. With the appropriate configuration, disconnect the contact connector of the antenna cable of the emergency call system located under the side trim of the right C-pillar at the jacking point (E-call).
3. Remove the screws (A) attaching the shock absorber mounting brackets to the bottom of the cross beam.
4. Remove the trim (Velcro) and remove the screws (IN), located along the top edge of the bumper.
5. Moving back, carefully remove the bumper, - try not to damage the paintwork and electrical wiring, - if equipped, remove the rubber seal on the left side of the body and disconnect the Parktronic electrical wiring connector.
6. If equipped, remove the emergency call antenna from the right side of the body (E-call).
7. Installation is carried out in the reverse order, make sure that the bumper is properly seated relative to the tailgate and rear combination lamps.
