Station wagon
Note. This describes the removal and installation for the Station Wagon model. The installation and removal process for other models is similar. The differences are described in the text.
Removing
1. Disconnect the negative cable (-) battery with the ignition off. The cabin air filter box must first be removed.
Attention! Before disconnecting the cable, find out the security code of the radio, if any, refer to Section Replacing the battery.
2. Remove facing of a door of a back or a cover of a luggage carrier, address to the corresponding section.
3. Extrude 8 clips (arrows in the illustration) overlays (2) with license plate out. To do this, place a head of the appropriate diameter and depth on each clamp from the inside of the cover and squeeze out the clamp.
Note. The head presses on the spike of the clamp, separating it from the holder.
4. Remove the nut from the screw (1) and remove the cover (2) with a license plate from the tailgate.
5. Disconnect cable (1) from locking mechanism (2) (arrow illustration) and disconnect the plug.
Note. Depending on the design, it is necessary to remove the cover in order to be able to disconnect the cable.
6. Remove 2 screws (1) and remove the locking mechanism (2) with a lock on the door.
Installation
1. Fasten the locking mechanism with two screws to a torque of 9Nm on the tailgate.
2. Connect the cable to the locking mechanism and dock the connector.
3. Install the license plate trim on the tailgate so that the clips and screws fit into the holes. Press the trim firmly against the door and secure. Screw nuts.
4. Reinstall tailgate or trunk lid trim, refer to appropriate section.
5. Connect the negative cable (-) to the battery when the ignition is off. Install the cabin air filter box. Enter the radio code and set the time on the clock.
