Removal



Note: The designations "oben" (up) and "unten" (down) refer to the closed position of the tailgate.


1. Open the tailgate.

2. Remove the clip from the holes on the tailgate.


2. Remove the clip from the holes on the tailgate.

3. Insert a plastic wedge, e.g. HAZET 1965-20, into the middle of the gap (arrow on the illustration) between the side and bottom frame trims and detach the trim elements from the clamp connections.

Note: The cladding elements in this area are glued together.


4. Partially separate the lower frame trim (2) from the tailgate trim (3) by pulling it firmly and using a plastic wedge.

5. Pull the plastic hook out of the clamp holders on the tailgate trim. To do this, insert a screwdriver into the gap between the door trim and the frame trim. Disconnect the plastic hook by hitting the screwdriver with a hammer.

Note: The plastic hook may break during this process.


6. Place your hand between the tailgate trim and the door and pull the 6 clips in succession with a…

7. Remove the trim (1) together with the side frame trim (2).

Note: The bottom portion of the side trim should be removed from the side trim on the rear window by moving it away from the window.


8. Disconnect the side trim (1) on the rear window using the plastic wedge from the 5 clip holders…

9. Disconnect the 3 plastic strips (3) from the connections (3) and separate the rear window side…

10. Detach the upper rear window trim (1) with a strong tug from the 6 clip holders (arrows in the illustration) and take it off.

Installation



1. Pull the metal rear window upper trim retainer tabs out of the plastic tabs on the trim and press into the holes in the tailgate.



2. Reinstall the upper and left rear window trims.

3. Insert the right rear window trim against the right trim and secure.

4. Connect the rear window trim to the side frame trim on the tailgate so that the side frame trim fits into the side trim at the rear window. Press the clips into the holes.

5. Install the frame trim on the lower edge of the tailgate. At the same time, connect the side frame trim to the lower one and join the plastic hooks to the tailgate trim.

6. Press the clips into the holes on the tailgate.

Removal



Note: The designations "oben" (up) and "unten" (down) refer to the closed position of the tailgate.


1. Open the tailgate.

2. Remove the expansion clamp from the handle bar (1).

3. Remove the 2 tabs from the handle opening and pull the handle bar out of the tailgate.

4. Pull the lower trim (2) down from the tailgate and remove.



5. Unscrew the button (3) of the locking cable of the right and left shelves from the side trim of the window.

6. Using a plastic wedge, e.g. HAZET 1965-20, separate and remove the side frame trim (4) on the right and left at the rear window from the bracket holders (5).

7. Detach the upper trim (6) from the bottom of the bracket holders (7) and remove the trim upwards. Be careful not to break the plastic strips inside.

8. Disconnect the cover (8) from the central trim of the tailgate (9). In this case, place a plastic wedge at the bottom and disconnect the cover from the three holders (10).

Note: The cover (8) in the illustration is shown enlarged.


9. Remove the screws (11) at the back of the cover and at the bottom of the trim (9).

10. Disconnect the trim at the bottom and remove it upwards from the tailgate.

Installation



1. Insert the center trim at the bottom into the guides and fix it. Fix the trim to the tailgate.

2. Further installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
