Removal



1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery cable with the ignition off. The cabin air filter box must be removed first.

Before disconnecting the cable, find out the radio receiver's security code, if any, refer to Section Replacing the battery.

2. Open the tailgate and remove its trim, refer to the relevant section.

3. Unscrew the 4 plastic nuts (1) securing the rear spoiler on the left and right.


3. Unscrew the 4 plastic nuts (1) securing the rear spoiler on the left and right.

4. Using a Torx screwdriver, loosen the 3 screws (2) one by one by several turns.

5. Disconnect the additional brake light connector.

6. Press the locking strips inward and press the plug connector of the additional brake light outward from the mounting hole in the tailgate.

7. Loosen the 3 screws (2) one by one to avoid deformation of the rear spoiler.

Note: The screws are located in the rear spoiler and are removed from the tailgate to the outside.


8. Remove the rear spoiler from the tailgate. When closing the tailgate, make sure that it is not skewed relative to the roof of the car.

Installation



1. Close the tailgate and install the spoiler on the tailgate. Make sure that the spoiler is positioned correctly and that the screws go deep enough into the holes.



2. Carefully open the tailgate, making sure that the spoiler is not tilted relative to the roof of the car.

3. Screw in 3 screws one by one, several turns.

4. Insert the plug connector of the additional brake light into the mounting hole and connect the connector.

5. Tighten the three mounting bolts one by one.

6. Screw on 4 plastic nuts on the left and right.

7. Install the tailgate trim, refer to the relevant section.

8. Connect the negative (-) cable to the battery with the ignition off. Reinstall the cabin air filter box. Enter the radio code and set the clock.
