Removal
1. Open the trunk.
2. Using a plastic wedge, remove the cover (1) at the boot trim retainer. Estate: Remove the plug, refer to the relevant section.
3. Mark the position of the lock retainer with a felt-tip pen.
4. Unscrew the 2 mounting bolts (2) and remove the retainer.
Installation
1. Position the lock retainer according to the mark and tighten the mounting bolts by hand.
2. Close the trunk and check the position of the latch. The edges of the trunk lid and the body fenders should match. If necessary, move the latch slightly so that the trunk is closed correctly.
3. Tighten the mounting bolts to a torque of 10 Nm and install the trim into the trunk trim.
