Removing
1. Install the outside mirror inward.
2. Disconnect the negative cable (-) battery with the ignition off. The cabin air filter box must first be removed. Before disconnecting the cable, find out the security code of the radio, if any, refer to Section Replacing the battery.
3. Push the mirror inward. To fix the mirror in this position, insert a wooden block (1) about 10 cm long and clamp it. (2) – facing of an external mirror.
Note. On models with power mirrors, fold the mirror inward.
4. Using a screwdriver (1) release the retaining spring (2), while pulling the mirror cover slightly outward and free it. Make sure that the wooden block is not squeezed out.
Note. The illustration shows the mirror with the cover removed.
5. Remove the wooden block and tilt the mirror forward. Completely separate the trim from the mirror holder (3). In this case, it is necessary to disconnect the connector (4) direction indicator.
Installation
1. Insert the cover over the mirror holder and fix it.
2. Push the mirror back and forth and check that the cladding is installed correctly.
3. Connect the negative cable (-) to the battery when the ignition is off. Install the cabin air filter box. Enter the radio code and set the time on the clock.
4. Check the operation of the direction indicator.
