Use a suitable towing cable - it's not expensive. There must be an inscription on the rear window of the towed vehicle - "in tow".
Always turn the ignition key to position "included" during towing to disable the steering column lock and to operate the turn signal and brake light.
Attach the tow rope only to the towing eyes provided for this purpose (see photo).
Before towing, release the parking brake and place the transmission shift lever in neutral.
Remember that braking requires more force than usual on the brake pedals, as the vacuum servo only functions when the engine is running.
Models with power steering will also require more than normal steering effort.
The driver of the vehicle being towed must keep the tow cable taut at all times to avoid jerks.
Both drivers should agree on a route before starting to move.
Drive at a moderate speed and try to keep the length of the towing route to a minimum. The movement should be smooth, and braking before the intersection should be started in advance.
On models equipped with an automatic transmission, special precautions must be observed. If you have any doubts, then do not resort to towing, because. incorrect operation can lead to damage to the gearbox.
To open the front towing eyes, unfasten the cover in the front spoiler
