Removal and installation of CV joints and protective covers of drive shafts (Mercedes-Benz S-Class W220)

37a - Drive shaft; 37b - Outer hinge; 37c - Inner hinge; 37d - Joint hub; 37th - Ball; 37f - Separator; 37g - Retaining ring; 37h - Lid; 37i - Oil seal; 37k - Clamp; 37I, 37m - Protective covers

Removal

1. Remove the drive shaft.

2. Remove clamps 37k.

3. Remove cover 37h and seal 37i on hinge ring 37c.

4. Remove retaining ring 37g.

5. Remove protective cover 37l with seal 37i.

6. Remove the inner joint 37c - 37f from the drive shaft.

7. Remove the protective cover 37m.

Installation

Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

Amount of grease: inner joint - 120-150 g; outer hinge - 120 g.
