Removal

1. Remove the drive shaft.

2. Remove the brake disc.

3. Remove the parking brake shoes.

3. Remove the parking brake shoes.

4. Remove the drive shaft flange 10 (with the wheel support installed).

5. Remove retaining ring 9.

6. Remove the radial thrust ball bearing 8 from the wheel support.

7. Remove the inner bearing race from the drive shaft flange.

Examination

Check the axial and radial runout of flange 10 of the drive shaft. The permissible axial runout of the flange is 0.03 mm, radial runout is 0.03 mm.

Installation

Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

1. Insert the threaded bolt 010j into the flange 10 from the outside and screw it to the bracket 010g.

2. Install the support plate 010d on the wheel support.

2. Install the support plate 010d on the wheel support.

3. Install the pressure plate 010f with the pressure bolt 010b through the bracket and install it again on the support plate 010d.

3. Install the pressure plate 010f with the pressure bolt 010b through the bracket and install it…

4. Install the hydraulic press 010h between the thrust pad 010f and the bracket 010g. Loosen the clamp bolt 010k from the hydraulic press, then the bracket bolt 010i until it touches the clamp cylinder of the hydraulic press.

5. Screw in the 010k clamping bolt of the hydraulic press (maximum torque 40 Nm) until the drive shaft flange is removed. Hit the bracket (arrow) with a hammer. If this is not enough, unscrew the 010i bolt from the bracket.
