Disassembly

1. Disconnect the transmission housing from the torque converter housing.

2. Remove multi-plate clutches K1, K2 and K3.

3. Remove the two visible Teflon rings 42b from the output shaft upwards.

4. Remove retaining ring 42f, gasket 42e, thrust needle bearing 42d and thrust gasket 42c from the output shaft.

5. Remove clutch K3 44.

6. Remove the rear hollow shaft 45 from the output shaft.

7. Remove the rear planetary gear block 43 with the integrated hollow shaft, the central planetary gear block from the output shaft.

8. Remove thrust washer 43a.

9. Remove the multi-disc brake B1 and oil pump.

Assembly

1. Install the thrust gasket 43a with the cuff towards the carrier.

2. Install the rear planetary gear block 43 with integrated hollow shaft, central planetary gear block on the output shaft.

3. Lubricate and install the three lower Teflon rings 42b into the groove so that they fit together.

4. Install the rear hollow shaft 45 on the output shaft. Check the sealing rings on the hollow shaft and replace them if necessary.

5. Install K3 clutches.

6. Install the snap ring, gasket, thrust needle bearing and thrust lining.

7. Lubricate and install the two upper Teflon rings 42b into the groove so that they fit together.

8. Check the axial clearance between the 42e gasket and the 42f retaining ring. It should be 0.15-0.6 mm. Adjust the clearance using the 42e gasket. Gasket thickness: 3.0, 3.4 and 3.7 mm.
