Disassembly
1. Disconnect the transmission housing from the torque converter housing.
2. Remove multi-plate clutches K1, K2 and K3.
3. Lift up the two visible Teflon rings 42b from the output shaft.
4. Remove circlip 42f, spacer 42e, thrust needle bearing 42d and thrust washer 42c from output shaft.
5. Remove clutch K3 44.
6. Remove the rear hollow shaft 45 from the output shaft.
7. Remove rear planetary gear assembly 43 with integral hollow shaft, center planetary gear assembly from output shaft.
8. Remove the thrust pad 43a.
9. Remove B1 multi-disc brake and oil pump.
Assembly
1. Install thrust pad 43a with collar towards carrier.
2. Install the rear planetary gear set 43 with integrated hollow shaft, center planetary gear set on the output shaft.
3. Lubricate and install the three bottom teflon rings 42b into the groove so that they fit together.
4. Install the rear hollow shaft 45 onto the output shaft. Check the O-rings on the hollow shaft and replace them if necessary.
5. Install the K3 clutches.
6. Install snap ring, gasket, thrust needle bearing and thrust washer.
7. Lubricate and fit the top two teflon rings 42b into the groove so that they fit together.
8. Check the axial clearance between the gasket 42e and the circlip 42f. It should be 0.15-0.6 mm. Adjust the clearance with shim 42e. Gasket thickness: 3.0, 3.4 and 3.7 mm.
9. Install multi-plate clutches K1, K2 and K3.
