Replacing the output flange seal of the rear propeller shaft

1. Illustrative material for replacing the transfer case input shaft seal is shown in the illustration, which includes all references in the text.
2. Remove the rear driveshaft.
3. Loosen and loosen the fixing nut (6) and release from the transfer case (1) rear outlet flange (3), - try not to lose the puck (5) and sealing ring (4).
Attention! The nut must be replaced without fail!
4. Remove the rear oil seal (2) and using a suitable mandrel, put a new one in its place.
5. Replace the outlet flange, - if necessary, replace the O-ring (4). Tighten and caulk the NEW mounting nut.
6. Connect the cardan shaft.
7. Finally, check the oil level in the transfer case, if necessary, make the appropriate adjustments.
8. Start the engine and check the transfer case for signs of leaks.
