7 - Vibration damper


1. The details of the transfer case installation are shown in the illustration, to which all references in the text refer.

2. Remove the engine compartment trim panels.

3. Remove the exhaust system from the support brackets (9 and 10).

4. Unscrew the bolts (14), disconnect the rear propeller shaft (13) from the transfer case and tie it to the frame elements - try not to damage the hinge assembly and the central bearing.

5. Unscrew the bolts (12), disconnect the front propeller shaft (11) from the transfer case and tie it to the frame elements - try not to damage the hinge assembly.

6. Disconnect the electrical wiring (3) from the servomotor.

7. Support the transmission assembly (1) and remove the cross member with the rear support of the powertrain suspension (5).

8. Support the transfer case (2) with a jack.

9. Unscrew the bolts (4), separate the transfer case from the transmission and remove it by jacking it back.

10. Installation is carried out in reverse order.

11. Finally, make sure that the level of oil poured into the box reaches the lower edge of the filler/inspection hole.
