Drive shaft flange and angular contact ball bearing

1. Remove the drive shaft.

2. Remove the brake disc.

3. Remove the parking brake shoes.

4. Remove the drive shaft flange (10) (with the wheel support installed).

5. Remove the retaining ring (9).

6. Remove the radial thrust ball bearing (8) from the wheel support.

7. Remove the inner bearing race from the drive shaft flange.

Examination

Check the axial and radial runout of the flange (10) of the drive shaft. The maximum permissible value of the axial play of the flange is 0.03 mm, and the radial runout is also 0.03 mm.

Installation

Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
