This subsection is designed to ensure that the vehicle is properly serviced, to help maintain the vehicle in good condition and extend its service life. If the vehicle is not serviced regularly, poor engine performance may result (incomplete power delivery, strange engine behavior, etc.). In this case, you should perform the following steps.
Primary actions:
- clean, inspect and test the battery;
- check all engine related fluids;
- check the condition and tension of the auxiliary drive belt;
- replace spark plugs;
- check the condition of the air filter and replace if necessary;
- replace fuel filters;
- check the condition of all hoses (pipes) and their tightness.
If these steps are not effective, then follow these steps.
Secondary actions:
- check the charging system;
- check the ignition system;
- check the fuel system.
