1. The battery is located in the engine compartment on the left side near the bulkhead. Note the position of the wires and, if applicable, remove the plastic cover of the positive battery terminal.
2. Unscrew the clamp bolts, disconnect the wire from the negative terminal, then from the positive one.
3. Unscrew the bolts and remove the mounting brackets, then remove the battery from the platform, trying not to spill the electrolyte on the body parts.
4. Install the battery in the reverse order of removal; do not overtighten the bolts. Lubricate the exposed surfaces of the terminals and fastening brackets with petroleum jelly.
