Removal



1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery cable with the ignition off. The cabin air filter box must be removed first.

Warning! Before disconnecting the cable, find out the radio receiver security code, if any, refer to Section Replacing the battery.


2. Remove the wiper arm, refer to the relevant section.

3. Open the tailgate and remove the trim, refer to Section Removal and installation the tailgate trim.

4. Disconnect the connector (1) of the windshield wiper motor.


4. Disconnect the connector (1) of the windshield wiper motor.

5. Disconnect the water hose from (2) the nozzle connector (3).

6. Unscrew the 3 mounting bolts (4) and remove the electric motor from the tailgate. First mark the position of the electric motor.

Installation



Attention! Before installation, check whether the windshield wiper motor is in the extreme position. To do this, briefly connect the connector and connect the battery ground cable. Briefly start the motor and then stop it with the switch so that the motor stops in the extreme position.


1. Secure the windshield wiper motor to the tailgate. Pay attention to the correct position of the rubber seal at the passage in the rear window.



2. Place the water hose onto the connecting element.

3. Connect the windshield wiper motor connector.

4. Reinstall the tailgate trim, refer to Section Removal and installation the tailgate trim.

5. Close the tailgate and install the wiper arm, refer to the relevant section.

6. Connect the battery ground (-) cable with the ignition off. Reinstall the cabin air filter box. If necessary, enter the radio code and set the clock.

7. Check the adjustment of the windshield wiper arm and the operation of the windshield washer nozzle.
