Removal



1. Open the hood.

2. Disconnect the negative (-) battery cable with the ignition off. The cabin air filter box must be removed first.

Warning! Before disconnecting the cable, find out the radio receiver security code, if any, refer to Section Replacing the battery.


3. Remove the levers, refer to the relevant section.

4. Remove the water collector, refer to Section Removal and installation the water collector.

5. Release the clamps and remove the cover of the fuse box in the engine compartment.

6. Disconnect the windshield wiper motor connector and disconnect the electrical wire in the fuse box.

7. Disconnect the electrical wire cable connector at the wiper rods.

8. Remove the bolt (1) at the bulkhead.

9. Unscrew the 2 mounting bolts (2) and remove the windshield wiper from the engine compartment.

10. Remove the water collector holder.

11. Disconnect the left and right rods (1) from the ball arm (2).

Attention! Do not unscrew the nut (3) on the wiper axis.


12. Unscrew the 3 mounting bolts (4) and disconnect the wiper motor (5) from the rods.

Installation



Attention! Before installation, check whether the windshield wiper motor is in the extreme position. To do this, briefly connect the connector and connect the battery ground cable. Briefly start the motor and then stop it with the switch so that the motor stops in the extreme position.


1. Connect the electric motor to the rods and secure with a torque of 13 Nm.

2. Connect the ball joint to the left and right rods.

3. Install the holder, checking that it is in the correct position.

4. Install the windshield wiper into the engine compartment and secure it to the body with two bolts. Tighten the bolts to 20 Nm.

5. Screw in the screw on the bulkhead and tighten it to a torque of 8 Nm.

6. Connect the windshield wiper motor connector to the fuse box and secure the electrical wires. Secure the wire to the wiper rod with a connector.

7. Close the fuse box cover and secure it.

8. Install the water collector, refer to Section Removal and installation the water collector.

9. Install the levers, refer to the relevant section.

10. Connect the battery ground (-) cable with the ignition off. Reinstall the cabin air filter box. If necessary, enter the radio code and set the clock.

11. Check the adjustment of the windshield wiper arms.
