Removing
1. Turn off the ignition and remove the key from the lock.
2. Disconnect the wire terminal from the negative pole of the battery «masses» (-).
Attention! When the battery is disconnected from the radio, the security code is deleted, as well as all automatic settings on the radio. If the code is unknown or not written down, the only way to put the radio into operation is with the assistance of a workshop or the manufacturer of the radio. Therefore, first make sure that the code is known.
3. Remove the glass cleaner.
4. Remove rod 1 from crank arm 2 (see illustration).
5. Unscrew three bolts 3 and disconnect the washer motor (see illustration 21.3).
Attention! The illustration shows only one bolt 3.
Installation
6. Connect the power plug of the wiper motor and let the motor run for a short time, then turn it off with the steering column switch so that it enters the parking position. After setting the electric motor to the desired position, turn off the ignition and disconnect the plug.
7. Install the motor on the bracket and fasten with bolts 3 without tightening them so that the motor can be moved on the bolts (see illustration 21.3).
8. Install the wiper reciprocating link 1 on the crank arm 2 so that they form a line (see illustration 21.3).
Attention! The distance between the crank pin and the rod should be 10.2 mm. If the required distance is not observed, there is a danger that the right-hand link will hit the A-pillar. Therefore, if necessary, correct the position of the thrust.
9. Tighten the three bolts 3 securing the cleaner motor with a force of 15 Nm (see illustration 21.3).
10. Replace the wiper mechanism.
11. Connect the wire terminal to the battery «masses» (-). The ignition must then be switched off.
12. Enter the security code into the radio and set the clock.
13. Check the stroke and parking position of the wiper brushes.
