Removing
1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
2. Remove the cover under the instrument panel on the driver's side.
3. To gain access to the reverse side of the instrument panel, working from below, under the instrument panel, separate the air duct and the air deflector on the right side.
4. Turn away a nut of fastening of a cable of a speedometer and remove a cable.
5. Pull the cable into the engine compartment and release it from the brackets and holders.
6. Raise the front of the car and place on supports (see "Vehicle lifting and jacking up").
7. Working from underneath the vehicle, unscrew the cable mounting bolt on the side of the automatic transmission and remove the cable (see fig. 10.7).

8. Release the cable from the holders on the bottom and side of the gearbox (see fig. 10.8), then remove the cable from the vehicle.

Installation
9. Installation is carried out in the reverse order.
