Seat position memory (Mercedes-Benz S-Class W220)

The buttons are on the doors.

The memory buttons are used to store individually selected seat positions and the position of the multicontour seat backrest.

In addition to the seat position, the driver's seat also stores the positions of the steering wheel, outside rear-view mirrors and inside rear-view mirror in the memory.

For each electronic key or for both smart cards, there are 2 memory cells on the driver's seat.

Recording to memory



Driver's seat: The electronic key in the ignition switch is in position 1 or 2, or the corresponding door is open and the electronic key is inserted into the ignition switch.

Front passenger seat and rear seats: The electronic key in the ignition switch is in position 1 or 2, or the corresponding door is open.

Adjust the seat and the multicontour backrest to the desired position. On the driver's seat, additionally adjust the steering wheel, the outside rear-view mirrors and - manually - the inside rear-view mirror. (To adjust the outside rear-view mirrors - refer to Section Steering wheel, rear view mirrors) (Adjusting the position of the steering wheel - refer to Section Steering wheel, rear view mirrors).



Press memory button "1", release it and, within 3 seconds, press position button "2".

Recall from memory



Press the required position button "3" until the adjustment process is completed.

For safety reasons, the position adjustment process is interrupted immediately if the position button is released.

From the lying position, first raise the seat back, then recall the memorized position. Otherwise, the seats may be damaged.

Note: To avoid damaging the rear vanity mirrors, keep them closed when recalling seat positions from memory.
