Disassembly
K1 clutch design
1 - Caliper of external disks; 2 - Piston; 3 - Spring; 4 - Spring sleeve; 5, 11, 16 - Retaining rings; 6 - Internal disk; 7, 8, 10 - Outer disks; 12, 13, 17 - O-rings; 15 - Disc spring; 18 - Piston guide ring; 19 - Ball; 020 - Puller; A - Clearance in clutch K1
1. Remove retaining ring (11) from the outer caliper of the outer discs (1) clutch.
2. Remove discs (6), (7), (8), (10) and disc spring (15). Check discs for wear and damage.
3. Install the puller (020) on spring bushing (4) and squeeze it until the retaining ring (5) will not be released.
4. Remove retaining ring (5).
5. Remove the spring bushing (4) with spring (3).
6. Remove the piston (2) from the caliper (1).
7. Remove O-rings (12) And (13) from the piston.
8. Remove retaining ring (16) from outer disc caliper (1).
9. Remove the piston guide ring (18).
10. Remove the O-ring (17).
Assembly
1.Install a new O-ring (17).
2. Install the piston guide ring (18).
3. Install retaining ring (16) into the outer disc caliper (1).
4. Insert O-rings (12) And (13) into the piston (2), - the sealing lips must point downwards (in the direction of the arrows); install bushings (021) And (022) into the outer disc caliper (1).
5. Lubricate the bushings and o-rings with transmission fluid, carefully insert the piston (2) and press it into the outer disc caliper (1) without distortion.
6. Install spring bushing (4) and springs (3).
7. Install puller (020) on spring bushing (4) and squeeze it.
8. Install retaining ring (5).
9. Install disc spring (15) and disks (6), (7), (8) And (10) into the caliper (1).
10. Install retaining ring (11). After installation, press the retaining ring up around the periphery until it is fully installed.
Gap check
Measure clearance «A», if necessary, adjust it by adjusting the retaining ring (11) required thickness (see illustration 20.1). Nominal clearance «A» in clutch K1 lies within the range of 0.7-1.3 mm. Retaining rings are available in 2.0, 2.6 and 3.0 mm thicknesses.
