Removal

Camshaft adjuster installation details
1 - Guide lever of the right cylinder head; 2 - Left cylinder head guide lever; 3, 15 - Bolts; 4 - Reinforcement; 5 - Locking pin; 6 - Nut; 12 - Lid; 13 - Camshaft sprocket; 14 - Plunger; 16 - Flange

1. Remove the top covers (30) and (30a).

2. Remove the guide levers (1) and (2). 3. Unscrew the bolt (3) and remove the fittings (4).

4. Unscrew the nut (6), - hold the camshaft (22) from turning with the key (25).

5. Remove the cover (12), camshaft sprocket (13) and adjusting plunger (14). Unscrew the flange (16) from the intake camshaft (22) and remove it.

Installation

1. Install the flange (16) onto the camshaft (22). Pay attention to the mounting pin (21).

2. Screw the flange (16) to the camshaft (22). Hold the camshaft (22) with the wrench (25) and tighten the bolts (15).

3. Install the setting plunger (14) onto the flange (16) in a fixed position by turning it clockwise.

4. Install the camshaft sprocket (13) onto the setting plunger (14) in a fixed position by turning it counterclockwise.

5. Install the cover (12).

6. Install the fitting (4). The pin (arrow) in the fitting (4) must be aligned with the installation plunger (18).

7. Screw in the bolt (3), holding the reinforcement (4) by the flat (arrow).
