Timing chain replacement
A - Timing chain disconnection; B - Riveting the timing chain using a connecting link; 6 - Thickness of intermediate plate 7a = 1.6 mm, thickness of outer plate 8b = 1.2 mm


1. Remove the top covers (30) and (30a).

2. Remove the timing chain tensioner.

3. Remove the spark plugs.

4. Disconnect the timing chain.

5. Cover the timing belt cover with a cloth.

1. Screw the stop spindle (02) together with the stop pin (02a) into the device (03).

2. Install the device (03) on the chain.

3. Screw in the stop spindle (02) until the stop pin (02a) rests against the chain pin.

4. Screw in the thrust spindle (02) and press out the chain pin.

5. Unscrew the stop spindle (02) and remove the device (03). Remove the pin from the device (03).

Assembling the chain



1. Connect the new chain (5) to the old one (4) using a connecting link consisting of a lock (6), plate (7), intermediate plate and cover (8).
