1 - Timing chain tensioner; 2 - Old chain; 3 - New chain; 4 - Connecting link


1. Remove the timing chain tensioner (1).

2. Remove the fan clutch.

3. Remove the cylinder head cover.

4. Attach the retainer (01) to the cylinder head with bolts.

5. Cover the chain housing with a clean cloth on top.

6. Screw the stop spindle (02) together with the stop pin (02a) into the press (03).

7. Install the press (03) on the timing chain.

8. Screw in the stop spindle (02) until the stop pin comes out from the opposite side of the connecting link.

9. Press out the thrust pin (02a) from the chain by screwing in the thrust spindle.



10. Unscrew the stop spindle (02) and remove the press (03).

11. Remove the pin (1) from the press (03).

12. Attach the new chain (5) to the old chain (4) using the connecting link (04) and secure them.

13. Rotate the crankshaft in the direction of rotation and pull out the new chain (5).

14. Remove the connecting link (04) and remove the old chain (4).

15. Insert the central plate (2) into the chain and secure it with the link (05).

16. Insert inserts (F5) and (D9) into the press (06).

17. Insert the connecting link (3) into the new chain.

18. Install the press on the chain. Rotate the spindle and press the connecting link (3) until it stops.

19. Remove the press.



20. Install inserts (D8) and (F1) into the press (06).

21. Install the outer plate into the press (magnetic fixation).

22. Press in the outer plate.

23. Turn over the insert (D8).

24. Press the connecting link pins individually.

25. Check the pressing (arrows) and, if necessary, repeat it.
