Measuring cylinder diameters (Mercedes-Benz S-Class W140)

Measurements of cylinder diameters are carried out in the longitudinal A and transverse B directions.

Cylinder size measurement points
A - Longitudinal direction; B - Transverse direction; a - Upper travel point of the upper compression ring; b - Bottom dead center; c - Lower point of the oil scraper ring stroke; 1, 2, 3 - Measurement points

The cylinder dimensions are given in Specifications.
