Mark with paint the relative positions of the left camshaft sprocket and the drive chain as shown in fig. 91.
Remove the chain tensioner or tensioner spring.
Remove the chain guide from the camshaft housing (see section 3.10.4).
Attach a piece of wire to the guide sprocket and use an M10 pin and an impact puller to remove the guide sprocket axle.
Use a wire to remove the guide sprocket.
When installing, lower the sprocket to the installation location using a piece of wire and, holding it in the required position, install the sprocket axle with the stud screwed into it. Using an impact puller, place the sprocket axle in place until it stops. Install the damper in the camshaft housing.
