Disconnect the ground cable from the battery.
On the back of the generator, disconnect the plug and unscrew the wire fastener.
Loosen the tension of the alternator drive V-belt as described in the "Cooling System" section and remove the belt.
Loosen the two generator mounting bolts on the bottom side and remove them.
Remove the generator. If necessary, put the car on stands.
The generator is installed in the reverse order.
Fit the V-belt and tension it as described in the section "Cooling system".
