Examination
To test the starter with a fully charged battery, connect the terminals "30" (large terminal) And "50" (small wire next to large terminal) wire with a cross section of at least 4.0 mm2. During normal operation of the starter, it is necessary to check the connecting wires. If the starter gear does not engage with the flywheel ring gear, the starter must be removed and inspected.
The most complete check of the starter can be performed in specialized workshops, where the necessary characteristics of the starter will be taken and the torque values \u200b\u200bdetermined.
Removal and installation of a starter
Disconnect the ground wire from the battery.
Disconnect the battery cable from terminal 30 and the wire from terminal 50 of the retractable winding.
Unscrew the nut and two mounting bolts and remove the supporting support.
Loosen the bolts securing the starter to the gearbox and lower the starter down.
Installation is carried out in the reverse order. Pay special attention to fastening the wires.
