Engine with four cylinders in line with one overhead camshaft.
The crankshaft is supported by five main bearings. Thrust half rings for adjusting the axial play of the crankshaft are mounted on the third main bearing.
Connecting rod bearings are installed in the lower heads of the connecting rod. The pistons are attached to the connecting rods with piston pins. The pistons are made of aluminum alloy and have three piston rings, two seals and one oil scraper.
The camshaft located at the top of the cylinder head is driven by a single row or double row chain. The chain also drives the intermediate shaft, which is used to drive the distributor and fuel pump on carbureted models.
The camshaft is supported by five bearings and controls the valves through rocker arms and hydraulic tappets.
The engine is lubricated under pressure from an oil pump, which is driven directly from the crankshaft and located in the drive chain cover.
