Adjusting the position of the steering wheel (Mercedes-Benz E-Class W124)

1 – Locking lever

The steering wheel position can only be adjusted when the key is in position 1 or 2 in the ignition switch, and when the front door is open, in position 0 or without the key in the ignition switch at all. After adjustment, move the locking lever back into place to lock the steering wheel in the new position.
