1. The relevant illustrative material is presented in the illustrations, which include all references found in the text.
2. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.
3. Remove the driver's frontal airbag module (120) (see chapter Onboard electrical equipment).
4. Disconnect the horn wiring connectors (38b and 38c).
5. Bring the front wheels of the car into a straight line, then lock the steering column by removing the key from the ignition.
6. Holding the steering wheel (32), remove the bolt (32s), - the bolt must be replaced without fail.
7. Carefully remove the steering wheel (32), - take care not to damage the wiring.
8. Check the condition of the spiral contact drum (A45) horn wiring and airbag, if necessary, replace it (see below).
9. Installation is carried out in the reverse order - make sure that the landing markings are aligned correctly.

2. Remove the steering wheel (see above).
3. Loosen the screws (32h) just enough to allow the contact drum to be removed (A45), - bolts at the same time play the role of anti-rotation protection.
4. Carefully remove the spiral drum assembly (A45) from the steering column jacket pipe.
5. Disconnect the connector (38d) drum assembly wiring (A45).
6. Assess the condition of the drum (A45), - top (32f) and lower (32g) sections of the drum assembly are firmly attached to each other by means of clamps. Replace defective components - try not to pinch the coil spring (32nd) when connecting sections of the drum.
7. Installation is carried out in the reverse order. Track the completeness of the landing of the drum (A45), - the recess must be aligned with the locking tab (arrow), center if necessary.
