Steering column lock installation details

Removing
1. Remove the lock cylinder (36) (see Section Removal and installation of the cylinder of the lock of ignition).
2. Remove the steering wheel (120) and spiral contact drum (see Section Removal and installation of a steering wheel and a spiral contact drum of a steering column).
3. Remove the combined steering column switch (S4) (see chapter Onboard electrical equipment).
4. Peel off the trim panel (88).
5. Disconnect the connector (A) contact switch (37q) adjusting lever (93).
6. On models with AT, remove the switch lock from the steering column lock, - squeeze the latches and pull the lock back, removing it from the mounting clips.
7. Pushing forward, remove the transponder from the lock (With).
8. To avoid damage to the splines of the steering shaft when knocking out the roll pin (37s) screw the bolt (32s).
9. Pull down the adjustment lever (93).
10. Using a suitable drift, knock out from the lock assembly (37) cylindrical pin (37s), - the lower guide pin will be disabled.
11. Having released a clamp, disunite a contact socket (b).
12. Remove the lock (37).
13. Remove contact switch (37q).
Installation
1. Connect the contact switch (37q) to the new castle (37).
2. Replace the connector (b), - check that the latch is securely engaged.
3. Install the new lock on the steering column, making sure the assembly is properly seated (arrows).
4. Fill up the castle (37) cylindrical pin (37s), - squeeze the upper and lower sections of the lock with tongs.
5. Replace the contact switch (32q), make sure it functions properly.
6. Remove the bolt (32s).
7. Put on the lock (37) transponder (With).
8. On models with АТ connect the blocker of switchings to the lock.
9. Connect the wiring (A) to the contact switch of the adjusting lever.
10. Install the trim panel (88).
11. Install combination switch (S4).
12. Install spiral contact drum and steering wheel (120) (see Section Removal and installation of a steering wheel and a spiral contact drum of a steering column).
13. Install the lock cylinder (36) (see Section Removal and installation of the cylinder of the lock of ignition).
14. Fix the steering column by lifting up the adjusting lever (93).
