Model of air conditioner without comfort automation
The ventilation flaps are moved by electric motors. The electric motors are attached to the heater/air conditioner unit. To access the electric motors, various covers must be removed.
Removal

1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery cable with the ignition off. The cabin air filter box must be removed first.
Warning! Before disconnecting the cable, find out the radio receiver security code, if any, refer to Section Replacing the battery.
2. Fresh air/circulation flap: Remove the cover under the glove box, refer to the relevant section.
3. Air mixing flap right: Remove the cover under the glove box, refer to the relevant section.
4. Air mixing flap left: Remove the cover under the instrument panel on the driver's side, refer to the relevant section.
Footwell area flap
1. Remove the cover under the instrument panel on the driver's side, refer to the relevant section.
2. Remove the lower part of the instrument panel on the driver's side, refer to the corresponding section.
3. Remove the radio and the pocket under the radio, refer to Section Removal and installation the radio.
4. Remove the damping material.
Ventilation dampers
1. Remove the heater and air conditioner unit, refer to the appropriate section.
2. Remove the radio and the pocket under the radio, refer to Section Removal and installation the radio.
3. Remove the damping material.

4. Remove 3 screws (arrows in the illustration) and remove the electric motor (1).
5. Disconnect the electric motor connector (2).
Installation
1. Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal.
2. Connect the battery ground (-) cable with the ignition off. Reinstall the cabin air filter box. If necessary, enter the radio code and set the clock.
Note: After installation, it is necessary to adjust the electric motors of the ventilation flaps drive on the control unit. The service station has a special diagnostic device for this purpose.
