Removal



1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery cable with the ignition off. The cabin air filter box must be removed first.

Warning! Before disconnecting the cable, find out the radio receiver security code, if any, refer to Section Replacing the battery.


2. Remove the upper center console cover, refer to the relevant section.

3. Disconnect the connector (1) from the back of the heater and air conditioning control unit…


3. Disconnect the connector (1) from the back of the heater and air conditioning control unit console cover (2).

4. Press the locking tabs outward and detach the control unit (2) from the console cover.

Installation



1. Install the control unit on the back of the console cover and secure it.

2. Connect the control unit connector.

3. Install the upper center console cover, refer to the relevant section.

4. Connect the battery ground (-) cable with the ignition off. Reinstall the cabin air filter box. If necessary, enter the radio code and set the clock.

Note: When installing a new control unit, it is necessary to adjust the electric motors of the ventilation flap drive to the new unit. A diagnostic device is used for this purpose.
