Heater control (Mercedes-Benz A-Class W168)

4 - Interior air recirculation switch. When the switch is moved to the right, the recirculation mode is turned on. When the switch is moved to the left, it blows fresh air into the interior. The recirculation mode is automatically turned off after about 30 or 5 minutes, depending on the outside air temperature and the position of the keys. If the air temperature is high, the recirculation mode is automatically turned on. After about 30 minutes, outside air is gradually supplied to the interior.

7 - right deflector on the center console
8 - right deflector regulator. To open the deflector, the regulator gear should be turned to the right
9 - side deflector
10 - right side deflector regulator. To open the deflector, the regulator gear should be turned upwards




If you need to quickly warm up the interior, turn the interior air temperature switch all the way to the right.

After heating the air in the cabin to the desired temperature, switch the switch to the desired temperature.

After this, change the set temperature by slightly turning the switch in the appropriate direction.

Basic position of heater switches during winter operation of the vehicle



The cabin air temperature switch is set at your discretion. It is recommended to set the cabin air fan switch to position 2, because the windows may fog up.

It is recommended to install the interior air flow direction switch as shown in the illustration.

Basic position of heater switches during summer operation of the vehicle



Move the interior air temperature switch down and set it opposite the blue dot.

The cabin air temperature switch is set at your discretion, but at least to position 1.

Set the air flow direction switch to the position .

4. Close the central air vents.

5. Open the side deflectors and direct the air flow to the side windows.

6. Set the cabin temperature to a higher level.
