Window washer (heated coolant)
1. Remove the bottom cover of the engine compartment.
2. Attach the hose to the radiator drain fitting. The figure shows a 2.0 liter engine.
3. Attach a 12mm ID hose to the radiator drain fitting. The figure shows a 2.5 liter engine.
4. Place a clean receiving vessel under the radiator, insert a hose into it and open the drain plug.
Drain
1. 2.0 L engine: place a clean vessel under the engine and remove the screw plug (12) drain hole on the engine block.
2. 2.2/2.5 l engines: fit a 14 mm ID hose onto the screw plug (4) drain hole on the engine block (arrow).
3. Place a clean receiving vessel under the engine, insert the hose into it and only loosen the screw plug (4) drain hole without unscrewing it.
4. Drain the coolant completely.
5. Tighten the drain plug on the engine block to 30 Nm.
6. Screw in with a torque of 1.5–2.0 Nm (manually) drain plug on the radiator.
7. If fitted, remove the drain hose.
8. Install the bottom cover of the engine compartment.
Gulf
1. Check the antifreeze content in the coolant.
2. Fill coolant through the filler pipe of the expansion tank (2) up to the mark (arrow). For vehicles with a black upper part of the reservoir, before the beginning of the black part.
Attention! In order for the coolant to quickly get from the compensation tank to the radiator, and, accordingly, to the engine, the filling hose can be squeezed down to fill with coolant.
3. Connect the ground wire to the battery.
4. Let the engine warm up until the coolant temperature control opens (temperature approx. 100°C). At the same time, set the heating to full power and push the accelerator pedal in jerks.
Attention! At a coolant temperature of 60–70°C, close the expansion tank.
5. Check the tightness of the cooling system - hose connections, as well as drain plugs.
6. Set the time on the clock.
7. Enter the radio's anti-theft code.
