Pic. 6.1. Inspect the area around the oil filter and sump
2. Check up also reliability and a condition of all tubes and hoses of the engine. Make sure all clamps and clamps are in good condition and in place. Clamps that are broken or lost can cause hoses, tubes, or wires to swell or harden, which can cause more serious problems down the road.
3. Carefully check up radiator hoses and heater hoses on all their length. Replace any hoses that are cracked, swollen or damaged. Cracks are best seen on a compressed hose. Notice the hose clamps that secure the hoses to the cooling system components. Clamps can pinch and break hoses, resulting in leaks in the cooling system.
4. Inspect the parts of the cooling system (hoses, connections, etc.) for leaks. A leak in the cooling system usually becomes visible as white or rusty deposits form around the leak. If something is found, replace the system element or gasket by contacting chapter 3.

5. Check automatic transmission heat exchanger hoses (if it is installed) for leaks and damage.
6. With the vehicle raised, check the gas tank and filler pipe for punctures, cracks, or other damage. Especially carefully inspect the connection between the neck and the gas tank. Sometimes, if the clamp is lost or the rubber is damaged, the rubber part of the filler neck or the connecting inlet hose will leak.
7. Carefully inspect all rubber hoses and metal tubes coming from the gas tank. Check for loose connections, damaged hoses, corrugated lines, and other damage. Pay special attention to vent pipes and hoses, which are often twisted around the filler neck and can become clogged or kinked. Carefully inspect the fuel lines all the way to the front of the vehicle. If necessary, replace damaged sections.
8. Carefully check the metal tubes that run along the bottom of the car. If they show signs of significant corrosion or are damaged, the tubes should be replaced.
9. In an engine compartment check up reliability of connection of fuel hoses and tubes. Inspect the fuel and vacuum hoses for kinks and signs of wear or decay.
10. Check the condition of the hoses and tubes of the power steering system (where it is installed).
