1. Check the condition of the throttle linkage components. If the components are worn or damaged, replace them. Brush off any dirt with a soft brush or cloth.
2. Lubricate with light oil or grease all moving parts of the throttle lever mechanism and, where necessary, the control levers for downshifting and driving at a constant speed.
